as my job is now focused on developing open source software, many of the blurbs i post here will be related to that arena. with that in mind, here we go: a great article explaining that open source development projects still need management, requirements, design, and all that other un-fun stuff. many in the open source community try to argue against these items. they're essential on projects of any size (lines of code or team size).

apparently, the yankees got my message about the dogs. they didn't play the song once. i have a bad feeling that the courier might not have made it to the mets' organization in time. i guess we'll find out tomorrow...

it was shopping spree weekend in my world. i finally got around to buying a dining table and chairs to fill the void that was my dining room.
and in more exciting news, i bought a new cell phone.

overheard on my clock radio alarm, at 7:14 am today: "I mean, how many people really get turned into brain-sucking zombies? It..." and then i hit the snooze bar.
