(4:10:21 PM) for some reason, my hosting provider has started to suck. i now frequently get asp errors on this page, even though there's actually no asp code in it at all. this indicates that someone else's site that's hosted on this same machine is screwing up the asp parser, and then imc isn't fixing it quickly, and isn't running the sites in isolation. tisk tisk! (3:50:05 PM) Sunday, June 25, 2000 glorious weekend here on the westside. went to the dresden (as seen in swingers) on friday night, followed by goldfinger's. beach on both saturday and today. until this weekend, i hadn't actually gone in the ocean for over a year, for no particular reason. i forgot how amazing it is. there were 5 dolphins swimming about 100 feet out from where i was today. amazingly cool. and i'm off in a few minutes to pick up heidi, who's in town from The Land O' Cheese, for some hangout time, before she gets on a plane to return to TLOC. (1:52:45 PM) Friday, June 16, 2000 i sat about 3 tables away from mark mcgwire at lunch today, at broadway deli. for most folks that might be a ho-hum, but i was pretty excited. i'd have to say that i've never really had "heroes" per se, only people that i admire. and mark is one of my top 3 people i admire, so it was pretty cool to walk out of the bathroom at the deli and see big mac sitting right there. i didn't want to bug him (he was having lunch with a young lady), so i admired from afar. nobody else bugged him either, which i thought was pretty cool, considering that most people are idiots. for the record, he really is that big. although i thought he'd be bigger.
